About the Authors
Gene Bogart comes from an extensive background in broadcasting and entertainment. For many years, he presented The Gene Bogart Show on daily drive-time radio for listeners in the Long Island market area, and later served as a director and producer for syndicated radio programming in New York City. He has also written, produced and appeared on-camera for a variety of television and video projects.
Gene is perhaps best known in broadcast and media productions as a professional voiceover artist, having lent his distinctive voice to countless TV and radio commercials, entertainment programs, and metaphysically oriented projects for CD, DVD, and the Internet.
Gene’s significant involvement in metaphysical spirituality began in earnest in the early 1990s, when he first met Charlotte McGinnis, and became one of the ‘regular volunteer’ members at South Florida’s Palm Beach Center For Living. Since that time, Gene has become one of the best-known voices in the worldwide community of A Course in Miracles, due in no small part to his work as creator, producer, and co-host of the highly successful Gary Renard Podcast series (available at iTunes and at www.Forgiveness.tv). The series has routinely been ranked within the "Top 20" in the Spirituality category at iTunes, often sharing the top ranks with other notables such as Oprah Winfrey and Eckhart Tolle. Gene also portrays the voice of the enlightened teacher ‘Arten’ in the audio-book CD recordings of his buddy Gary Renard’s bestseller, The Disappearance of the Universe.
In 2010, Gene created and continues to host, moderate, and write commentary for an international on-line Course in Miracles study and discussion group called On Course with Gene Bogart. He is widely recognized as one of the most popular and effective professional narrators of the complete set of 365 Workbook Lessons of A Course in Miracles.
Gene is also a talented musician, singer, songwriter, recording artist, on-stage personality and live-event M.C. In the areas of spirituality and self-development, Gene has worked in the studio with and/or appeared on stage alongside such notables as Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Doreen Virtue, Gregg Braden, and of course, Gary Renard. This wealth of experience – in addition to hosting and moderating seminar and discussion groups in various areas of the country, on conference calls, and now over the Internet – give Gene a unique perspective in bringing together the concepts of media, entertainment, and enlightenment.
Gene played golf while in college… rather poorly, he’ll be the first to admit! But he has always maintained a fascinated interest in following the game, and now combines his experiences and perspectives on golf, spirituality, communications, and lighthearted humor into his work as co-author of A Golf Course in Miracles.
Gene Bogart lives in South Florida with his lovely wife Helen, and their two sister tuxedo-kittens, Boots and Willie!.
